-Nigerian Beauty Queen Narrowly Escapes Burning To Death, As Her G-Wagon Goes Up In Flames. Maryam Elisha, an ex-Nigerian beauty queen and designer escaped being burnt alive, as  her G-wagon went up in flames on the Eko Bridge in Lagos. SDK reports that the Maryam was saved by passers-by who got her out of the burning car, as she tried stopping the car whose brake failed at that moment, with the car doors jammed as if it was locked from outside. “When the car eventually started to slow down, I put it on park and tried to open the door, which wouldn’t open until people came to my aid and helped me out before the fire spread everywhere,” she said. The family of Ekemini Ekerette (Kemen), has threatened to sue the organizers of Big Brother Naija for defamation of character, after he was disqualified on Sunday night. According to Vanguard, a source close to the family claimed they were not happy about the incident and felt Kemen’s image had been tarnished. The source said they were angry that Nigerians will start seeing him as a rapist, adding that Tboss should have reacted, if she did not like what happened that night. He also alleged that some influential persons want Tboss to win the reality show. Kemen was sent away from the Big Brother Naija house, after he was caught on tape fondling Tboss without her consent. Tboss was asleep when Kemen carried out the act and the organizers disqualified him, for going against house rules.

A Malaysia-based Nigerian national identified by friends as Chimaobi (aka Paco Jelapa) is reportedly dead in a suspected case of suicide.
